Transforming Fashion Sustainability: Green Story Now Accredited by SAC as Higg FEM Verifier

Green Story is excited to announce that we have been accredited by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) as a verifier body for the Higg Index Facility Environmental Module (FEM). This accreditation allows us to verify supplier's Higg FEM scores and validate sustainability sourcing as per SAC's Higg protocol. 

The Higg FEM is an important tool used by companies to measure the environmental impact of their operations and supply chain. It helps companies identify areas where they can reduce their environmental impact, improve sustainability, and operate in a more responsible way. By partnering with Green Story, businesses can now have their Higg FEM scores verified and validated by an accredited verifier body. This also furthers our capabilities lifecycle assessment capabilities as we can verify facility data.

Green Story is proud to be the first platform of its kind to achieve this verification. With only 58 verifiers in the world, this is a truly unique achievement. We are excited to bring this service to our clients and help them achieve their sustainability goals.

To achieve this accreditation, Green Story had to meet the rigorous standards set by the SAC. Our Chief Sustainability Officer, Dr. Kannan Muthu, played a key role in the process. Dr. Muthu is an experienced Higg FEM Verifier, both as a General and Chemical Specialist Verifier, and has been working with the SAC since the beginning of Higg FEM from V1. Under his leadership, Green Story is building a team of experienced and qualified verifiers across the globe.
